Thanks Luis.

What's funny, SNDDST worked with the longer one that errored out.

Well, there's a reason I don't use QtmmSendMail anymore and wrong my
own API for that. :)

I have found that IBM is a real stickler for RFCs and rules, much more
than any other entity. That can be a good thing, but when it doesn't
mesh with the rest of the world, it can be a problem. So I'm not sure
if I like it or not... lol

Brad,

Something I really like about pertaining to the Midrange forums is that
they are a constant opportunity of keeping my (few) remaining neurons
active, allowing me to learn new things in the process.

Digging a ltille more about your problem (my wife likes to say I'm
stubborn), I found the following IBM Tech Document:
It explains about an (unknown to me) IBM supplied program, *QTCP/QTMMSND*,
that allows you to debug the QTMMSendMail API. Using it, I found that yes,
the longer example gave a CPF3C17 message while the shorter one did not. So
it seems is an issue with the API.

Hope this helps,

Could anyone using any application (besides MAILTOOL) that uses the
QtmmSendEmail API try sending and email to the following addresses:

xxxXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxx

xxXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Yes, the first one is just one byte longer than the 2nd.

Id like to know if both work, neither works, or one or the other
works.  If it doesn't work, what error do you get and is it from the
QtmmSendEmail API itself?

Thanks!
