<<SNIP>> if I save to virtual tape I could have as a volume name
VRT001. If I transfer this outside of BRMS by ftping (or something)
the virtual image to another system and adding the image catalog
entry there I end up losing all this BRMS tracking of it. So now I've
done a DUPTAP from virtual to physical but BRMS can't help me find
the tape.
How do I do this?
I can not claim to understand fully what is the desired outcome, nor
what BRMS does about tracking the virtual versus a physical-tape save on
the originating system, but DUPTAP not being a BRMS command, what that
command does falls outside of the BRMS.? Could the virtual tape be
duplicated instead, using DUPMEDBRM, to get the virtual tape
imported\assigned to BRMS on the target system?
