Ok we here use Net Server and our iSeries user are told that there passwords have to match on both Network and iSeries. We published strict rules about passwords. Must be all low case and NOT start with a number.... PC users can access Net Server shares no problem.

We are running at this time V5R4 and Windows 2003 domain. Soon to be V6R1 and 2008.

We have always had issue access QNTC. We have tried several options and none worked. We use programs that run under Owner Authority and the Owner has a local profile on the windows server. We just restrict access to the iSeries program that accesses the windows share. This also keeps users from WRKLNK '/QNTC/SERVER/SHARE' access. I think it is better than giving individual users access to the share '\\SERVER\SHARE' if they don't need it.
