There's a system that I cannot see the list of shares defined on it by
using
WRKLNK '/QNTC/GDSDNS/*'

In my joblog I see
CPDB055 - Communication error on session to network server GDSDNS.
An error code 3401 was received
Use DSPMSGD CPExxxx

CPE3401-Permission denied.
Cause . . . . . : An attempt was made to access an object in a way
forbidden
by its object access permissions.

I can access this via Windows Explorer. Numerous other users can access
this from the same 5250 session (logging off then on as themselves) using
qntc.
My userid and password match on i and windows. They are all uppercase.
They do not begin with a number or contain any special characters. I have
no problem with qntc on other shares from other servers.
Windows admin cannot comprehend why it would be blocking me, and, only
from QNTC and not windows explorer.
I can use QNTC to numerous other servers and clients.

Google search for qntc cpe3401 turns up nothing. CPE3401 didn't find
anything that appealed to me.
