That's a remote OUTQ...

I don't believe DUPLEX works with those...

You need to configure the printer as an IPP, PJL, or SNMP device...

remote OUTQ should be your last choice when configuring a printer...

Is the printer configured as a device or a remote outq?  I'm wondering
if either has some parameter in conflict with duplex.  Could
manufacturer/model be a factor?

The printer is set up for Duplex printing.  Everything prints
duplex except for what is sent from the i.

Should a printer be set to something other than DEVTYPE(*SCS) for
duplex
printing?
This command isn't printing double-sided.

OVRPRTF FILE(QPRINT) +
  DEV(*JOB) DEVTYPE(*SCS) PAGESIZE(66 85) +
  LPI(6) CPI(10) FRONTMGN(0 0) OVRFLW(57) +
  DUPLEX(*YES) UOM(*INCH) +
  OUTQ(QUSRSYS/CANONIR) OVRSCOPE(*JOB)
