Yes, the obvious one: Install IBM i Access 7.1 which is supported and fully functional on Windows 7. The fact that you got System i access V5R4 working once doesn't help you get any support for it, because it's not supported. If you have current Software Maintenance on your system you can get 7.1 for no charge. I simply cannot see any reason whatever to attempt to run V5R4. Really.
