You can also create PDF files from a spool file natively now with V6R1, and
copy an existing spool file to a PDF file in V7R1.

Subject: Re: Drag and Drop to 64 bit O/S

Hmmm. I guess I have gotten used to printing the spool files to a PDF
Creator print driver. Not as easy as drag and drop but I just send the
spool files I want "printed" to the outq connected to the PDF printer
and then attach them in an email (or whatever). I have always meant to
get more familiar with Navigator because it seems to have some fairly
useful features, but if the 64 bit edition is hobbled, I don't have much
interest in trying it.

Nearly always it's when I've logged a support call with IBM and they want
a
job log or a program dump emailed to them.

I rarely use drag and drop in a GUI ( I never think to use it).
However, I did drag a 170 over to the recycle center and drop it into

Allow me to summarize: You cannot drag and drop to 64 bit version of
Windows with IBM i (System i (iSeries)) Access. Various workarounds are
suggested.

Is this a problem for anyone? It drives me nuts! I've not seen any
statements about this being fixed and it's NOT fixed in IBM i 7.1 either
(the document only refers to 5.4 and 6.1)
