David, you could code the option on your H spec instead of on the compile.

Or on your SQL compile, use the COMPILEOPT parameter.
===> CRTSQLRPGI MYPGM COMPILEOPT('OPTION(*NOUNREF)')

Make sure you include the quotes within the COMPILEOPT.
