We have a customer trying to download a save file from our FTP site,
and
it's failing consistently with
Unable to receive data from TCP/IP.
426 Connection closed; transfer aborted.
at exactly the same point (around halfway) in the save file.

I just tried the same download myself, and it worked fine.

I can understand a firewall blocking a connection from being
established, but I can't imagine one blocking an FTP download in the
middle.

If the recipient is also placing the file into a save file, and if the
recipient's system is backlevel from the version required by the save file,
this kind of thing can happen. Or if the recipient is downloading in ASCII
mode (though I would not expect it to get halfway through unless this is a
particularly small save file).

If recipient is receiving into a save file, you might have them try
receiving into a normal file instead, just to prove there's no FTP issue.

Good luck.
