Even ENDJOB OPTION(*IMMED) "can leave stuff in an inconsistent state" for which a RCLSTG might be desirable. See the caveats noted for use of *IMMED on the OPTION() parameter.

However unless there is some specific symptom that should or needs to be addressed by a request to /reclaim storage/, there should be little reason to plan for performing the request anytime soon. If for example, the available-storage level does not return to the expected and the PRTDSKINF from a recent RTVDSKINF indicates there is some storage to be recovered, that would be a symptom for which scheduling a RCLSTG would be in order. If the FTP server does not start after the abnormal end, due to some error that is expected to be resolved by a reclaim, only then would I schedule the request; but then probably the more immediate than the near future :-)
