Hello Edith,

If your order for IBM i were to be available for electronic download:

1. what kind of connectivity do you have ( T1, broadband, .....)?
* I download at work directly to the AS/400. I'm not sure of the speed of the connection to the ISP, probably T1 or better.
What I get allocated from our network team is about 100 KB/sec/connection on average.
2. what download time would you expect to download the IBM i operating system?
* I kick it off overnight or over the weekend so I'm happy as long as it completes by the morning. It always does.
If I'm really in a hurry, I can concurrently download multiple images with concurrent FTP transfers.
3. would you use ftp, download director, or either, to download?
* I use FTP directly to the AS/400 using a script.

(I know this question is redundant for some list participants, but feel free to reply anyway) I'd like to see if I can make a table of connectivity types versus time expectations.
