I would contact vision and find out why they have all these save files on
your machine, they are probably excluded from ODS.

You could parse down save files using PDM and doing work with objects, then
put in library name, then *all for object name, *file for type and savf for
attribute.

Permanently applying fixes is always a good idea.

WRKOBJPDM LIB(QGPL) OBJTYPE(*FILE) OBJATR(SAVF)

F13=Repeat

But, no, there is no nice wildcard. While ftp allows you to do
namefmt 1
put /qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/mysavf.savf
and it will automatically make the savf without having to create it first,
you cannot do this
del '/qsys.lib/savftest.lib/*.savf'

Subject: Removing SAVF Files
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi All,

I had a quick look in our QGPL directory and we have a ton of SAVF files
(the bulk of which are fixes for our Vision Solutions product). Is there
a safe method to delete all of these SAVFs that won't cause any issues?
I'm guessing it's not as simple as just going in with Navigator, selecting
all of the files and deleting them, is it? I would really like to reclaim
some of this space that these files are using.

I did do a SAVLIB last night on the QGPL directory, so if something did
happen all I would need to do is a restore.

Thanks!

/b;
