James,

The information I gave was correct. I simply said sessions, not display
sessions.

Since the OP is using Bosanova, the type (3477 or 3487) is irrelevant
and the extra abilities of the physical models are not important. I was
simply trying to give him the basics and not flood him with information.

He won't see any difference at all using a 3477 or 3487 device
description when using the Bosanova emulator.

Sharon

Not quite. You need at least a 3488 for more than 2 display sessions.

3477 gives you a choice of one display, one display with printer, or two

displays, has no mouse support, and does not allow you to turn off
column separators.

3487 gives you up to 2 displays WITH a printer, mouse support, and (on
the color model) the ability to turn off column separators. I believe it

also gives you some semigraphic characters, and non-space-consuming
attributes, but except for drawing boxes around windows, practically
nothing uses any of these capabilities.

3488 requires a separate monitor, but gives you up to 4 displays with a
printer, mouse support, and the ability to turn off column separators.

3489 is like a 3487 with a graphics mode (that practically nothing
actually uses).
