I think he's suggesting that there should've been a *SRDPRC object type (much like we have *CMD objects) that kept track of the stored procedure definition instead of simply having records in physical files. That would've made it more like the rest of the OS.

Personally, it doesn't really matter to me. But, I think that's what Steve is calling "interesting."

The only thing funky is that there's a catalog table that tracks the names.

wow, good article. Interesting how the pure as400 design of
implementing everything as objects was not adhered to for stored
procedures.
