From: Booth Martin
He keeps talking about Quick Books and how it is NOT a
replacement for his present system.

Did he indicate why not?

What does Quick Books NOT have?

Wouldn't that depend on which version of Quick Books you're talking about? They offer a single user version that runs on a laptop for a few hundred dollars, and on up to various enterprise editions that may run in the $3,000 - $10,000 range for about 5 users.

I'm most familiar with their Web editions which have no ability to swap between concurrently running applications - no ability to extend the interface with custom applications - no ability to integrate with other systems - no common user interface for all applications.

Quick Books doesn't run under IBM i or use an IBM i database, which might be a show-stopper for some - can't use RPG, Query400, DFU, etc.
