If a commercial solution is of interest, we have a number of them, including a Data Export product and our RPG2SQL Intergrator. The first one gives you output to a variety of file formats, the second one gives you programmatic capability. It now includes an export command to true Excel workbooks that has nice formatting. RPG2SQL would give you lots of other options for working live with remote RDBMS'.

If interested, feel free to call us toll-free at 866.rjs.soft and ask for me or Richard or sales. You can also see more about it on our site at http://www.rjssoftware.com

Happy Friday, all!

I am sending a flat file to a spreadsheet, and have the CSV format working.

I used:

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(LIB/FILE) TOFILE(FILECSV) RCDDLM(*EOR) STRDLM(*NONE)

and when I display the file, it is good.

The user has requested the field titles, however, and I did not see a parm in the command above.

I did not see a solution in the archives.

Thanks,
