Guess the world's definition of shareware has moved on
from my understanding - happens when you get old!

That's funny. Open-source used to mean software that was cranked out in government labs and public universities, and shared freely - as there was no commercial interest.

Then, somehow if morphed in a marketing message, promoted by commercial entities.
