That would be great. I have it running under windows but the runrmtcmd
does not return error messages to the program, I the spool file output
does not give you a reason why it failed. Also I hate parsing spool
files. I will check up on it.

Would 7-zip work for you? It's open source, and provides 256-bit AES
encryption support.

I managed to get it to work under IBM i (tested on V5R4) in PASE.

I haven't used it in production, however, just in some proof-of-concept
things, and it seemed to work. I don't know if it's suitable for your
purposes, but might be worth looking at.
