What do you mean by a new joinee?
Do you mean a new employee who knows nothing about the new job, because they
were not hired on the basis of their relevant qualifications?
Or is this related to outsourcing to unqualified workers?
Do you already know AS400 System Administration & are looking for tips what
belongs in your PPT, or are you like the new joinees, not yet knowing the
basics?
AS/400 administration is a complex topic, which includes security,
performance, backups, and lots more. You need to have a working knowledge
of several relevant programming languages, data base navigation, hardware
management. It is not a topic suitable for IT beginners, but rather
something for the experienced to move up to from operations.
Why can't the new joinees attend classes on the basics of AS400
Administration? Is it because classes are no longer readily available for
that which has been considered to be obsolete for maybe a decade?
If you do have an AS/400, it came with IBM paperwork on lots of basics, such
as real printed manuals, and CD Rom linkages to more. After IBM replaced
the AS/400 with iSeries, then replaced that, and again, the urls changed, so
that the urls that came with the AS/400 are now no good.

You could opt to have your people share in this wiki, and work with other
volunteers to build it up a bit. Be careful to be sensitive to versions.
Wiki volunteers will attempt to include anything that can be done on the IBM
family of midrange computers, while your people need to limit themselves to
what could have been done 10 years ago.
Watch out for advertisement links to stuff that has nothing to do with the
subject, such as medicine, add-ons for PCs, or is in competition with IBM
such as Sun & HP.
A lot of these links take you to a heck of a lot more than AS/400
administration, such as programming.
