Besides different passwords, depending on your password level setting on the iSeries, mix case passwords may not be supported on the iSeries. They can type it on a 5250 session all day as mixed case but the password is all upper case. All lower case client / network passwords are converted to upper case if you do not change your password level system value to allow mix case passwords.

Subject: Drive mapped to ifs fails to reconnect at logon

Several users each have a drive mapped to the ifs to allow them to upload
data from MS Excel. However this drive fails to connect at logon for one of
the users. They have to double click on the drive in My Computer and submit
their BPCS password before the drive will connect.

The drive is mapped the same for all users with 'reconnect at logon'
selected.

We are running BPCS version 6.0 release 02

The users run Windows XP service pack 2 in an Active Directory and Novell
environment with iSeries Access for Windows Workstation Program version 5.5
for Windows.

This is the first time that I have posted a question, so any feed back would
be appreciated.
