Yeah, I should have qualified my statement. I prefer to steer clear of the IBM i HTTP server administrative console because the UI is so tedious.
And to be honest, when folks call for a native GUI, most the time I don't know what they're talking about. But I generally get the idea that they don't want Websphere middleware. And they do want a programming interface comparable to a display file interface. And they don't want to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. And the UI must be productive and efficient. And if those conditions are met, then they'd happily crank out new applications that would propel the platform into the future. And I tend to believe them.
