Thanks Everyone,
Just to give a better explanation I need to get a kinda large database from machine A to machine B. Machine A doesn't have the Internet bandwidth to transfer the data in a reasonable time over a VPN ( I've tried... assuming no errors 40+ hours ). I need to A. make sure the tape shows up and B. That the data on the tape was not accessed. B. can be handled a number of ways with proper packaging.
As I'm typing it came to mind that maybe by using someone's Broadband connection and a VPN may do the trick to get the bandwidth...
