Doesn't SQL run in the QDBSRV* jobs? And the JVM is part of the LIC,
so it probably uses the *MACHINE pool.

Contrast that with my PC, which has 2 Gig of Ram, where Windows gives me a daily reminder that virtual memory is too low.

Are you using a vendor preload? Otherwise, get 64bit Windows and 8GB
of RAM - it's cheap today, and lots of RAM will give you lots of
performance.
