Sure would be nice if WRKFCNUSG was actually sorted or
sortable/searchable.

Is this different than the "Application Administration" GUI portion of
iSeries Navigator? (Right clickon the system name and choose "Application
Administratin") I did a quick test and they came up the same. Mapping the
names

I thought I read once that the App Admin should not be relied upon to
provide security. Not sure the why and the where, just a fleeting memory.

Dave did some diligent web surfing and found this:
WRKFCNUSG
QIBM_XE1_OPNAV_APPADMIN Application Administration
And, was back in.

In the process he decided that this was a much better fit than a tailored
install of System i access for Windows.

How do I give my userid back Application Administration on iNav?

Well, I was experimenting and I messed up.

I was working with Rob to try and figure out a way to solve my problem of
limiting access to INav functions. I wanted to do a tailored install. He
said it would be better to use Application Administration. So, I
experimented. I unclicked almost all functions from showing as the
Default and to someone with *ALLOBJ. I have *ALLOBJ. When I opened
iNav again, sure enough, at least my userid can't see anything much,
including Application Administration. OK, I screwed up. Won't be the
first time, or the last. So, how doo I give back to my userid, at least
Application Administration so I can give back the rest. I assume this
will have to be done via Green Screen.

BTW, I tried to reinstall the client from the i to see if that would give
everything back.... Nope.

Thanks in advance,

Dave
