Greetings from sunny Florida, where it's fair and 64f.
I am modifying an RPG application for a Naurtech handheld scanner using Windows CE5250 emulation. When I attempt to scan a barcode tag, I get an "Input Discarded, Too Long For Field" error. I can key my numbers using the keyboard into the fields which are to be filled by the barcode scan and the program functions as designed. I recompiled the original program and I get the same error. When running the original application in production, the scan function performs correctly. My next course of action is to get someone of authority to copy the original objects to my test library. As the user ID for the handheld is restricted, I am putting my programs into the designated library and cannot directly call the original program on the development system.
There are no notes or warnings in the code to instruct me to compile anything non-normal. Is there something which needs to be changed on the compile of the screen? Any other helpful hints?
Thanks,
