Any ideas on how to cut the noise level of the BCS? I have the system
in a storefront location with a storage room and the large room which
is the store. The BCS right now is on a heavy duty metal shelf in the
store. If there are only one or two blades in the system, and 4 SAS
drives, can some of the fans be pulled or turned off?

when I power on the BCS it uses 200W of power. Turn on the JS12 and
usage climbs to 350W. Since the system is idle, waiting to be
configed, I guess the SAS drives are not spinning. The power usage
does not seem to warrant the 4 fans running.

are there low cost enclosures that servers can be placed in to wall
off the noise? What I saw in a web search was too expensive at $3000.

thanks,
