You've already seen the reply that this is no longer necessary, if you use path naming and if the extension is savf - very cool - just can't assume that the ftp server on the i is using path naming, so have to do one of 2 things to force it - quote site nam 1 or cd / (or even the full path to the savf).

creates a file, it will default to creating a PF.
