I got a nice email from one of those. Instead of just complaining to the
list, I thought I'd let them know that their ads were being blocked - just
cause I'm a nice guy. Their reply was thanks, but they'd rather miss a
few people from seeing their ads than not be able to give hit statistics
(via the current method) to advertisers. Too bad for the vendors, I think
I even made a purchase based on one of those ads once.
