Why do The Users assume that an application with a GUI and a mouse is better than a green-screen application? Salesmanship! And, perhaps, poor green-screen design. A properly constructed green-screen application is much faster for pure data entry than a GUI. Maybe it's because the system only needs to ship about 2K (that's 2000) bytes of data down the line to refresh the screen!
