Sure, just make sure the Friday backup tells the drive to eject the
cartridge and mount the other tape into ready status.

What model is the drive? You should have instructions that tell you how to
do this.

Hello,

I have an autoloader for my iseries. I am curious if you are able to
run two different backup jobs on two different tapes using the base
system backup software (savlib or any other program that comes with
the system)?

For example, I have a tape in slot1 and slot2. Friday I want to run a
back up on tape1 and Saturday I want to run a backup on tape2.

Thanks,
Adam
