I see what the problem is now though. The instructions in the manual
said to cycle power. Well, I didn't have tapes in the slots when the
power cycled, so it didn't load a tape. A different section of the
manual mentioned the "seq start" command.

So, it wasn't working because the sequence wasn't actually started,
even though I switched to sequential mode.

I have an autoloader for my iseries. I am curious if you are able to
run two different backup jobs on two different tapes using the base
system backup software (savlib or any other program that comes with
the system)?

For example, I have a tape in slot1 and slot2. Friday I want to run a
back up on tape1 and Saturday I want to run a backup on tape2.
