To put it simply, it sucks.
I was trying to think of the right words, but you pretty much summed it up
for me too :-) The iSociety concept is great, the iSociety website sucks.
I quit trying to make sense of it after the mess of trying to get a COMMON
user id drove me nuts. I know I have been signed in, but have since
forgot
my profile and I don't wish to go through that process again (maybe it is
better now).
I also agree with the rest of your sentiments.
BTW, I just signed up for Facebook and think your idea of creating a
midrange group on there is great! Does anybody already have one started?

iSociety seems like it can be a great tool to connect to the community
but it is clear that this is a much better tool.
I have some inherent problems with iSociety's functionality. To put it
simply, it sucks. I feel they would be more successful simply starting a
Facebook group and using that platform as a base. The NetVillage
solution is just terrible. The forums are not useable, and most of the
other functionality is buggy as hell. I feel like I am using a system
from the old Internet days. Isn't this the view IBM is trying to get
away from?
Just my two cents.

iSociety vs. this forum? Please contrast and compare.
