My CRTCSVDTA utility -
http://www.dbg400.net/cgi-bin/twiki/view/DBG400/CrtCsvDta - trims
trailing spaces on character fields. The field delimiter defaults to a
comma, but you could set it to X'05' or any other character just as
easily. If you don't want to take the time to build the utility then
the whole library of tools (+ source) can be downloaded from
