You can use the QFileSvr.400 to access other i5/OS instances, or use the
QNTC filesystem to access SMB/CIFS shares (usually from Windows
systems).

Accessing the IFS using a FTP is quite simple. Use "namefmt 1" in the
i5/OS native FTP client, most other FTP clients will require "site
namefmt 1" or "quote site namefmt 1". You can then change directories at
will. You can also change the FTP default mode using CHGFTPA. Issuing
"CD /" in an FTP client will automatically change the naming format.
