Which release heralded the arrival of the most hardware?
- V4R1: 9 models
- V5R3 and M5: 5 models
- V5R2: 4 models
- a few ties for 3 models
- "Next Release" (V6R1) so far, no models.

Which release killed off the most models?
- V5R3: 10 models
- V5R2: 7 models
- "Next Release" (V6R1): 1 model
- V4R1: not a one. Strange, when it leads the list in new hardware.

Granted, it's all RISC based and we all know that V3R6 killed off CISC
boxes.
