Keep in mind it all depends on how you calculate the numbers. Last I
checked, IBM insisted on using "systems shipped" as their base number- which
is incredibly misleading. I tend to prefer "systems under service" as a
more accurate, but not complete, number... Frankly, I'm not sure anyone
really knows exactly how many boxes are out there in production right
now....but there are some good estimates...
