Jerry -

Thanks for your help.

Using PuTTY, I entered CALL QP2SHELL and my SFTP command and info and got

 exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program
/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/SC1/OpenSSH/openssh-3.5p1/bin/ssh because of the
following errors:
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for ssh because:
0509-136 Symbol __fd_select (number 65) is not exported from
      dependent module /usr/lib/libc.a(shr.o).
0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the
    'dump -Tv' command.

Ever seen that before? I believe that I'm current on PTFs . . .

Thanks,

Steve

Start with a CALL PGM(QP2SHELL)

then from within pase test out you sftp commands including ssh -T to see
if you can get to your target.

Have you exchanged keys? sFTP is not a user/pw system.

I'm trying to do SFTP thru PASE for the first time and am not sure what's
happening.

From a command line, I enter:

CALL PGM(QP2SHELL) PARM('QOpensys/usr/bin/-sh' '-c' 'sftp -b /home/steve/
FTPscript.sftp user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx')
where user is a user ID given to me by tech support at targetsite.com

When I press 'enter', I get the message "Connecting to targetsite.com . .
." followed immediately by "Connection closed".

At this point, I'm not sure that I'm even getting off of the iSeries,
much less to targetsite.com.

Any pointers?

Thanks,

Steve
