Start with a CALL PGM(QP2SHELL)

then from within pase test out you sftp commands including ssh -T to see if you can get to your target.

Have you exchanged keys? sFTP is not a user/pw system.

I'm trying to do SFTP thru PASE for the first time and am not sure what's happening.

From a command line, I enter:

CALL PGM(QP2SHELL) PARM('QOpensys/usr/bin/-sh' '-c' 'sftp -b /home/steve/
FTPscript.sftp user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx')
where user is a user ID given to me by tech support at targetsite.com

When I press 'enter', I get the message "Connecting to targetsite.com . . ." followed immediately by "Connection closed".

At this point, I'm not sure that I'm even getting off of the iSeries, much less to targetsite.com.

Any pointers?

Thanks,

Steve
