Evidently the IBMer I was talking to was confused to all creation about Eastern Time being only 4 hours different than GMT. GMT NEVER uses daylight Savings time. I even pointed to the website: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ . However, he kept referring to some other website that said it was 5 zones off. (I reserve my p!ssing contests to a consultant at work.) I was this close to changing my timezone to one of the other EST's. Funny thing also, Notice the difference between this screen Time ------------------Standard Time- Offset Zone Abbr Full -05:00 QN0500EST EST Eastern Standard Time -05:00 QN0500EST2 EST Eastern Standard Time -05:00 > QN0500EST3 EST Eastern Standard Time and this screen: Time zone . . . . . . QN0500EST3 Name Associated settings: Offset . . . . . : -04:00 Full name . . . : Eastern Daylight Time Abbreviated name : EDT Rob Berendt
