Hi: I find it "fascinating" that some of the same people who tout iSeries hardware for its stability and almost obscenely long uptime, are complaining because Rochester wants to dictate memory placement. Well, how do you think the platform is kept stable? By allowing end users to slap whatever hardware in whatever slot we want and "see what happens"? That's part of what is wrong with Windoze ... MS keeps trying to support the most creative varieties of Frankintel monsters, and the rest of us pay for it in ways that are sometimes subtle and indirect.
