I wrote a process once that FTP a file from a PC to the iSeries and when
done I called a program on the iSeries (via FTP) to process the contents. I
am not totally sure of the syntax, but a google search turned up this page:

Basically, when you are done uploading your file to the iSeries you can
execute this command in the same FTP script:

quote rcmd MY400PGM

Subject: FTP - Check if file is in use

Hi All,

We are receiving a file via FTP to our iseries IFS. Is there a way to
determine when the FTP has completed. I wish to move the file to another
location after it has completed sending.

Thanks
