If I recall correctly, Carol did get some complaints about how slow Websphere Application Studio is, but she had workarounds. It can run on WAS V5.1 Express for iSeries which is FREE. Or ASF Tomcat, which is also free and requires the least amount of memory and CPU. I'm going to pursue until I hit a showstopper. It's so impressive I'm wondering why it's slow being adopted. Because you need a WAS? I saw a presentation on it several months ago and the product was impressive. I've been asked to come up with alternatives to our current remote access product (CTCBridge, a java applet software program) and iSeries Access for Web is intriguing. I like the fact that it's IBM and anyone with a browser can get 5250 access. We need remote access for distributors, IT staff and users without opening our 520 to the internet. We have a CISCO VPN.
