Rob,
Why didn't you fully implement it? I have a similar software package that we 
purchased several years ago that I still haven't fully implemented. It doesn't 
have the granularity I need to disallow transaction types (INSERT, UPDATE, 
etc.), only functions (prepare and describe, execute, etc).

Exactly.  The nom du jour for (s)pentasafe is NetIQ.  We really never 
fully implemented it and the annual maintenance fees were a KILLER.
