Tim,

I didn't see any answers to your question. So here's mine.

The file you downloaded is probably a PCL stream file. You just need to
get this stream file into a *USERASCII spool file and place that spool
file on the OUTQ to your printer. Create a *USERASCII print file
(CRTPRTF); put the downloaded file in the IFS; use the COPY command to
copy the file to your print file; move the resultant spool file to your
printer OUTQ.

Subject
Downloading a font to a HP4050 network printer

Hi,

I have a font I downloaded from http://www.micrfonts.com/. I need to
"download" it to a hp4050 network printer. The instructions and included
utility talk about downloading to a printer attached to LTP1,2,3, but
there
is no documentation on downloading the font to a network printer.

Can anyone give me some dirction on how to do this.

System stuff:

            Iseries 520 v5r4

            HP4050 network printer

            Good'ol RPG for creating checks

Thanks
