The ftp stops at a certain record and disconnects and the file we receive is
the same every time we try to get it with the same record count.

The log shows the following;

    > GET RC773001.TXT fblib/xxxWRKFP (REPLACE
    227 Entering Passive Mode
125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.
Unable to receive data from TCP/IP.
No response from remote host; all connections closed.
    Enter an FTP subcommand.
    > QUIT

Do you get an error message? What do you mean...it stops processing?
Blows up? Quits and returns to the command prompt?

Hello, when I connect to a business partners server using ftp is there any
way
I can run a command
on the target server that will display the file, like edit, so I can view the
contents of the file and try to figure out the bad record(s)?

Just for the heck of it I connected to this site from my pc and was able
to
get/receive the entire file successfully...so why am I not able to get the
file completely
from the AS400? The ftp stops processing on the same record every time I run
it from the AS400. This is an ftp that runs every day w/out issue until today
and according to the business partner nothing has changed on their side.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help, etc.
