printing to Win2000 server parallel printer

Need to print to an old Tally T6212 which is parallel attached 
to a Win2000(?) server and same local lan with new i5. 
Currently all the win desktop users can print to it. 
I'm used to having an ip address and setup a remote print writer
for something like this only attached to a Jet Direct box.
This printer has no ip (but the Win server does). 
Customer wants to leave printer attached as is (no new hardware).
i5 not setup yet, but need a plan.
