Does anyone know the reason(s) that this would be the case? TIA

Old objects? I know that objects restored from S/38 will not have the "Created by user" or "Created by system" fields set.

I don't recall whether these fields in the OIR have always been set on OS/400 or whether they were added at a later release but I think objects created before VRM130 will not have these fields set. Use DSPOBJD DETAIL(*SERVICE) and check the "System level" field.

Other possible reasons include:
        1) Damage (as suggested by Al Barsa)
2) Deliberately set to blanks by a utility program (plenty of examples on the web)

Simon Coulter.
