Christopher,

PGP binaries run fine in Pase and it takes 5 minutes to install, BUT CANNOT BE USED FOR BUSINESS unless you buy a license.

You can use GpG instead, that runs in pase as well, and is fully compatible with PGP. The latest binary available for GnuPg is not too recent, but it can be compiled either with GnuC+ or VaC+ directly from latest version of sources in your iSeries. However it requires Vnc or another server that is part of 5799PT1 to create keystores and import/export certificates.

Another way could be to install PGP just to create keystores and certificates and than use GnuPg (that is open) to encrypt/decrypt.

A few time ago Scott Klement showed a way that allows to redirect output from Pase commands (using pipes and spawn) and can be used to call PGP/GnuPG functions and intercept results.

Giuseppe.-
