The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

In addition to buying a set of tapes for backup, you need to get a cleaning
tape. I am using an earlier system. When the orange light goes on, that
tells us it is time to do a cleaning. When we do a cleaning, after doing
so, insert the tape an extra time for an extra cleaning. Also if a big
weekend is coming up when there will be extra backups like end fiscal, it
not hurt to do extra cleaning in advance of that. We have a cleaning tape
in addition to the one we are using, so that when the current one runs out
& we start using the spare, we not have to worry about waiting on
replacement when a cleaning is needed.
Anything else I am forgetting about concerning tape backups? Any other best
practices?
