We had a UPS that was not hooked up correctly. Does that count? The batteries in the UPS do not last forever, they have to be replaced from time to time. IN WRKSYSVAL there is a place to enter how long to try to keep running after public utility fails ... I think *CALC is best ... otherwise you set some value that makes sense, then change what is running off the USP & now the value no longer makes sense. Your standard logs would not show anything, because when the 170 goes down hard, it does not have time to write anything to the standard log, it does down instead. ---- Original message ----

past 4 years
it has dropped 6 times (3 times in the past week). In all
cases there
were no messages in the logs on any hardware failures. Our
tech
suggested we replace the power supply, which we did the
first 3 times.
Now we are having a hard time coming up with other
possibilities. We
don't believe that the power supply is an issue and we have
the system
on a ups which our 810 is running on the same ups and it
does not go
down. Has anyone seen this before or know of anything else we can
check?
